The yellow blouse is made of silk. It's Lily's. She looks good 8 it. Oh, Dniel's coat is long. It's grey. It's made of wool. It can keep him 9 in winter.

A: Alice, what do you think of my new coat?

A: I don't know how much it costs.       . And look at this scarf.       . It's very soft.

B: It goes well with the coat.

A: Thank you. And this pair of trousers is from my grandfather.

B: They are nice. But I think they're too short to fit you.

A: No. They are of the latest style.       .

B: Yes, but the boots look heavy.

A: Yes, but I like them.

     Bill: I get new clothes and shoes quiet often. My parents buy them for me. I feel unhappy if I don't get my favorite things. I like wearing famous brand( 品牌). My favorite brad is ”Nick”.

     Lisa: My mum often buys me clothes and shoes. But sometimes I buy clothes with my own money. I buy things because I like them, not because of the brand.

Paul: My mother always buys me cheap clothes. I don't think brands are important. My family is poor. Most of the time, I can't get the things I want. I just wait.

     Mary: My sister usually buys me clothes. I like all the brands. My favorite brand is “Adidas”.

     This week, I ask my students about fashion. I show each student seven things and ask their opinions(看法)about each thing. Some of their answers are interesting! Here is what the students in Class 8 like:

     Jodie Smith likes the key ring. Her friend Jordan says he can't stand (忍受)the scarf. “It's for old people!” He says. William Jones loves the wallet, and his classmate Gina Taylor loves the watch. Ann Rice doesn't like the watch, but she really likes the hair clip! Jerry Green likes the sunglasses. And the coolest thing is the belt! Everyone love it.

      In the USA, most people like to wear jeans. They are nice to wear and look good. Jeans were made in America 100 years ago.

      A German called Levi Strauss and an America called Jacob Davis made the first jeans in the USA. Jacob was a clothes maker. He wanted to make trousers that couldn't break(破坏)easily. But he didn't have enough money.

       Levi had lots of money. So Jacob asked him for help. They started to made Levi's jeans I 1873. Levi's jeans are still popular all over the world today.

       But jeans are made of a kind of very strong cloth(布料). People started calling these trousers “jeans” in the 1960s . Before that people knew them as working clothes. Blue is most popular colour but today jeans come in all colours.
