    There is an English corner in our school. Every afternoon, many of my classmates come to the corner. My teacher Miss Li comes here 1  the corner, we all speak English.

    The corner started last year. There were only 2 students because many were afraid to speak English. After a few weeks, more and more students came here. At first, some students just 3 to the other students. I was one of them. I was afraid to speak English. I thought someone would 4 me, but I wanted to speak. I always spoke English in my heart.     I tried and tried to open my mouth. At last, I said "Hello!" to the teacher.

    The teacher was very 5. She said "Hello!" to me at once. From6 on, I began to speak English. I work hard at English and I try my best 7 more. I learn 8 my teacher and my classmates at the corner. Now I can speak a little English. Every Sunday afternoon, I come to the corner 9.

    A group of old classmates, who have succeeded in their work, got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation soon turned to complaining about the stress in work and life. To offer his guests coffee the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and many cups—china(瓷), plastic and glass, some plain(朴素的) looking, some expensive and some lovely. The professor told them to help themselves to the coffee.
