In the 1920s, a poor young painter was working in an old garage(车库). He worked 1 day and night. However, he was not 2 in the garage. There were mice, too. Every night when he tried to sleep, the mice made lots of noise. But he was too tired to drive them away.

One day, a little mouse came to the painter. It looked at him directly. Its small eyes were 3.

    Our family went to the Yellow Stone National Park last summer vacation. Our son Tom, wanted to see bears there. And what a breathtaking experience(经历) it was!

    When we got there, we put up our tent and went to explore(探险). As we returned, we heard our daughter Susie cry out And then we saw a bear go into our tent, Tom wanted his father to chase (追赶)it away. His father said," No, It's dangerous to chase a bear. And don't let it chase you." Susie said, " What shall we do? Maybe we should climb up a tree. "Tom said, "No. We have to get it out of there. It might (可能)go to sleep in our tent "Maybe we could make it leave if we put some honey outside for it to eat, Susie suggested(建议). Then I said, "How are you going to get the honey？It's in the tent. "We watched the bear go into the tent and heard it upset(翻倒，弄翻) everything inside. " "It's foolish(愚的) of us to try to chase it away," said my hushand (丈夫). "Leave it alone and wait for it to come out." We waited, but the bear stayed inside. We had to sleep in the car that night.

    My best friend is Li Hua and she is different from me.

    She has shorter hair, bigger yes and smaller mouth. She is taller and thinner than me.  We live in the same building but I live on a higher floor. There are five people in her family.

    Li Hua is more outgoing and she likes to do sports. She is better at playing badminton than anyone of us. Her favorite color is pink and mine is green. Her favorite food is fish and she thinks it is more delicious than anything else. However, I think beef is more tasty. But we both like vegetables because it is good for our health. She often plays the computer or goes shopping on the weekend. Sometimes we go to KFC together. We go there on foot because we believe it is friendlier to our environment than taking a taxi.
