My parents used to tell me how important school was for me, but I didn't think so. I paid little attention to it. But one thing let me finally 1 what my parents meant.

One day, when I2a mobile phone store, I saw an advertisement on its door.  It was hiring new workers! "Sir, are you hiring people?" I went3the shop and asked. "Yes, but you should be the man who we need," the manager answered. He looked at me for a few4from head to foot. "Do you have a high school diploma?" 5he, "Or do you have any work experience?"

I felt so ashamed and6 that I didn't know what to say, so I just turned around and left.  I could not fall asleep that night,   and I thought a lot about my 7. "I must go to school or I can't do anything without a good education," I 8 to myself silently. I never went back to the store again9I finished my study and got a diploma (文凭).

Note-taking is a skill that can help you do well in all your school work. It can make you confident when you are studying. But unluckily, most students don't know how to take notes.

★Write down key facts. If your teacher writes notes on the blackboard, that's great. You can copy them or write down the most important facts of all in class. Different teachers do things differently. For example, some teachers may focus on(关注) lots of dates and facts in class, but they only write the important ones on the blackboard. Other teachers may not write anything down, but they may say something important again and again. 

★Ask. Don't be afraid to ask your teacher to repeat what you miss. If your teacher speaks too fast and you can't follow what he is saying, you can ask him after class.

★Compare. Comparing your notes with your classmates' can be good for your learning. It can also help you and your classmates correct some mistakes.

★Organize. Note-taking also needs organization. Keep notes for each subject in one notebook, so that you can find everything easily when a test comes.

★Good note-taking takes time. If you decide to recopy your notes every evening, you'll surely have less time to watch TV. But you'll save time in the coming test.

①Industrial robots are on the rise and 5G robots are without doubt the future. Nowadays, a lot of companies are working on perfecting the technology.

②Since 2013, China has been the world's largest market for the use of industrial robots. The country believes robots can help deal with the pressure from the rising cost of taking care of plants. According to China Xinhua News, a 5G farming robot has been put to use in greenhouse in East China's Fujian Province. It has been connected to the 5G network to collect information about plants since last week.

③With a cartoonish look, the robot named Xiaorui was developed by Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FAAS) and Fujian Newland Era Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. It has a round base with wheels, allowing it to move in all directions. Its head is fixed with two cameras as the "eyes" and two cameras as the "ears".

④The 5G robots can not only collect information about wind, CO₂ and temperature but also send real-time pictures and videos about the plants to a control room much faster. According to Zhang Peiqiang, general manager of Fujian Newland Era Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, the information can be used to find out the plants' health condition and pest (害虫) control condition.

⑤"Fast information collecting is just the first step," Zhao Jian from FAAS said. "We expect the robot to be closely connected with the farming process. One day, it may even help people make management decisions"

① Jane has been living in China for more than two years and she has come to know some of the differences between Western and Chinese culture. Here is what she has to say about this.

②"In China people often try to avoid conflicts. If somebody does something you don't like, you may be upset(不开心), but you should hide it, keep it inside, and act like nothing is wrong. If you must do something about it, you should not talk to the person directly, but rather talk to someone else who will then talk with them. However, in the Western countries, things are different. If someone does something I don't like, I will tell them so. I may say it nicely or I may get very angry, but at least I will do something. Also, I won't talk to other persons about it and instead I will talk to the person directly. In fact, in fact, in the Western countries, if you say something bad about someone to someone else, it is thought that you have a bad character.

③ "A very good example of this comes from my first year of teaching in China. I knew I did not have a lot of experience in teaching and that I probably made many mistakes, so I asked them if I was doing wrong, what I should do better and so on. The Chongyang Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It is celebrated on the       (nine) day of the ninth lunar month. It's also called the Double Ninth Festival.

The festival started as early as the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). It has a history of more than 1,700 years. Among the numbers         zero to nine, nine is the highest odd number(奇数). People believe         two "nines" meeting together stand for a long life. So it is a special holiday for Chinese people       (show) love and respect for their elders. They hold many kinds of activities in honor of old people, wishing them good        and a long life.

The festival comes during the golden time of fall.        the day, people traditionally drink chrysanthemum(菊花) wine, eat Double-Ninth Cakes        climb mountains. They also carry a kind of plant         (name) dogwood. People in ancient times believed that plant could drive away evil(邪恶的) spirits and prevent them from       (catch)  an illness in winter.       a meaningful festival it is !
