As the saying goes, "A hero is known in the time of misfortune（不幸) ". Zhong Nanshan is a hero like this. He is a doctor in Guangdong, who 1 many people's lives in 2003.

In 2003, SARS 2 in Guangdong. Later, it spread across China and other parts of the world. Patients coughed a lot and got fevers. Hundreds of 3 even died from the disease. Even many doctors and nurses got SARS when they treated patients. So everyone was afraid of it. But Zhong was 4 enough to fight the disease. Zhong spent days and nights to find the cause 5 the disease. And with his way of treating, many patients began to get better.  Zhong finally won people's trust.

In early 2020, a disease called Novel coronavirus pneumonia (新型冠状病毒肺炎) hit Wuhan. It spread6around tens of thousands of Chinese people were infected (感染). Zhong, 84, led 7team to Wuhan to fight the illness. Zhong's team took many measures to cure the patients with Novel coronavirus pneumonia. He advised people to wear masks, 8 hands frequently (频繁地), stay at home and not to go to crowed places.

Zhong likes sports very much.  9 he was 67, he could still play basketball. Now at the age of 84, Zhong still treats patients in the hospital and 10 young doctors. "I am just a doctor." Zhong says. But we think he is a hero and a fighter.

Long ago, an old man kept a sparrow(麻雀)which he loved very much. One day the sparrow flew away and the old man was very sad.

He went out to look for him. At last, he met his sparrow in the mountains. The old man said that he missed him very much and asked him to go home.

Though the sparrow was happy to see the old man, he shook his head. The old man wanted to see how the sparrow was living. The sparrow led the old man to his home. There were many other birds. A few days later, the old woman went to the mountains, too. But the sparrow said nothing to her. Before she left, she unashamedly asked for a present. The sparrow offered her two choices. One basket was light and the other was heavy. But she could only choose one. The old woman took the heavy one. The sparrow told her she couldn't open it until she got home. She carried it all the way breathlessly(气喘吁吁地). When she arrived home and opened the basket, it was full of stones.

They're C Trains, D Trains, Z Trains, T Trains, K Trains and "4 Number" Ordinary Train. They are divided into different groups by their speed.

K Train: "K Train" means "Fast Train" in English. It's slower than "Z" and "T" trains, with more stops on the way, and it has an air-condition system. There are tickets for hard seats, hard sleepers and soft sleepers.

"4 Number" Ordinary Train: This is a slow train which stops even at small towns or cities on its way. It's named with four numbers, such as Train 4447(Beijing West-Zhang Jiakou). Most of this kind of trains don't have air-condition system or restaurant cars.

When you cough or sneeze, you'd better turn your head away from others and cover your mouth with the full part of your hand. And then, you should say, "Excuse me."

This seems so simple, but it is surprising how many kids have never been told to do this. Actually, I notice adults all the time who cough and sneeze in public without placing a hand over the mouth. One important thing I point out to the kids is that after they sneeze or cough on their hands, they should wash their hands as soon as possible. If not, they will be passing those germs (细菌) along to everything and everyone they touch.

If you come to a door and someone is following you, hold the door. If the door opens by pulling, pull it open, stand to the side, and allow the other person to pass through first, then you can walk through. If the door opens by pushing, hold the door after you pass through.

After a few weeks of seeing kids try to get through doors in the school and watching them enter restaurants as the door hit other people, I knew I had to discuss the problem with my students. Teaching them small acts of kindness, such as letting someone else go through a door first as they hold it open, may seem unimportant, but it can go a long way toward helping students realize how to be polite and thank others. Mr. King is my English teacher. I still remember clearly the one English class after entering the middle school. He came into the classroom, in a big smile, "Hello, everyone!
