    My father works in a bank. The bank is 2 from our home. So he goes to work by car. The car ride 3 about 50 minutes. My mother has a clothes store. It's about two kilometers from her 4 to our home. She goes there 5 every day. She thinks walking is good 6 health. I'm a middle school student. I take the school bus to school. Many students 7 taking the school bus is boring, but I don't think so, 8 I can talk with my classmates on the bus. It gives me a lot of 9. I like every minute of it.

    Molly thinks of lots of people she knows：her family，teachers and classmates. She thinks of Bill. Bill sits next to her in the classroom. His home is far from school. It's about eight kilometers from his home to school. This boy doesn't have money to take the bus. He doesn't have a bike. Every day it takes Bill a long time to walk to school. His shoes are always old and dirty. Molly sees holes(洞) in them. So Molly buys a pair of sports shoes for Bill with the money.

    In the afternoon, Molly rides her bike to the post office and sends the shoes to Bill. She also writes a note(便条).It reads "To Bill, from Father Christmas."

    Do you know the Kids Care Club? You can see a group of children in the club. They join it to help others. Parents, teachers and other people work with them in the club. The children there can do many things.

    They can go to the old people's home. There are many old people there. They can talk to them and play games with them. They can sing and dance with them. They can learn a lot from the old people, too. For example(例如), the old people will tell stories to them.

    They can help other children. They can make cards and gifts for sick children in hospital. They can collect(收集) clothes and shoes, and send them to poor(贫穷的) children.

    One January morning, Thomas Smith is walking his dog, Jack, in the park. Mr. Smith is sitting under a tree and Jack is running on the ice (冰) lake. Suddenly. the dog falls into(掉进) the water and can't get out.

    People think Mr. Smith is a hero (英雄)."In fact, many people in the world are doing the same as me," Mr. Smith says. "But from now on，I must let Jack be away from the ice lake."
