    When I first moved to Melbourne, my new city seemed so big and unfriendly. One day, I decided to go to Royal Melbourne Hospital for a 1check. On the way to the hospital, I was so 2 that I might have got a serious illness.

    Not having a car, I had to get to the hospital 3 bus. However, I got on a bus by mistake that was going in the opposite 4.     On August 21st, 2016, our Chinese National Women's Volleyball Team won the gold medal at 2016 Rio Olympics, 12 years after the last gold medal. All of Chinese were so excited. Thanks to the great coach named Lang Ping whom Chinese people are so proud of. Lang Ping was born in Tianjin. She was once a volleyball player of the Chinese National Volleyball Team. They won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Lang was seen as one of the most respected  people in modern Chinese sports history. Because of her excellent skills and main role in the success of the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team in the 1980s, she is known as the "Iron Hammer ".

    In 1995, Lang as a coach led the national team and guided them to win the silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. But in 2005, she became coach of the USA's women's team. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Lang led the Americans to play against Chinese National Team. In 2013, Lang became coach of China again. It could be difficult to train for the Rio Olympics. In order to get ready for it, she tried her best to teach girls skills, and she is also friendly, just like girls' mother. They get on well with each other and work together. She encouraged them all the time and told them "never give up". In fact, everyone had a strong will for their dream. Now the dream really came true.

    Their success showed the world about their great spirit. Though the success did not come easily, they can make it. Lang is regarded as the most amazing star all the time.

    The Group of Twenty (G20) is an international forum for the governments and central bank leaders from 20 major members around the world. It was first founded in Berlin, in December 1999 with the aim of promoting global growth.

    The members include 19 individual countries—Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States. The final member is the European Union, represented by the European Commission and by the European Central Bank.

    During 4-5 September, 2016, the G20 summit was held in Hangzhou. It is the first time G20 summit to be held in China and the second in an Asian country. Leaders of the G20 gathered here to discuss important things. Why choose Hangzhou to hold G20? Here are some reasons:

◆Hangzhou is one of the most economically vibrant  cities in China.

It is known as one of the best livable  cities and low-carbon cities in China.

◆It is also the first city in China to run a public bike rental  service.

◆The e-commerce giant Alibaba was founded in Hangzhou, which is also the hometown of its founder Jack Ma.

◆Chinese President Xi Jinping also served as Zhejiang province's Communist Party Chief and is said to fondly remember the five years he spent in Hangzhou.

    In order to get ready for the G20 summit, Chinese leaders have spent several billion on new highways and three-storey homes near the International Expo Centre, the venue for the summit, which was completed in April 2016 cost of £917 million. Around 225 factories have been closed to reduce the pollution.

Now the G20 summit is over, but people around the world know Hangzhou, a beautiful city. China will continue to try its best for a better world.

    What would happen if there were no electricity? Doing homework by candle? Walking to school? Boiling water over a little fire? Life is like that in many parts of Malawi, a small country in Africa.

    In 2001, William Kankwamba, a 14-year-old boy, had a simple wish — a light in his room. At that time, his family was so poor that he had to leave school. But he loved reading and wanted a light in his room so that he could read when it was dark. One day, he borrowed an 8th grade American textbook called Using Energy from a local library. He saw a picture of a windmill in it and decided to build one.

    People in his village thought that he was crazy when he asked for things to make it. "I was really sad when people laughed at me and took me as a fool." William said, "Even my parents thought it was too difficult for a little boy to do that." But William didn't give up. After thousands of tries of almost four years, he succeeded in the end! People all came to see the windmill he made from old cars and broken bikes.

    William has built three windmills in his 60-person village. They make enough electricity for lights, radios and a public TV, and helped pump clean water for both farms and family use.

    Now William wants to build more windmills across Malawi. "A windmill means more than just power, it means freedom."

    Money to help with this project has come from all over the world, including China. The village children can all afford to go to school now. Many have been encouraged to work on science. William says people now see that if they make their minds on something, they can get success.

    Rami Adam, a 44-year-old man, is called Uncle Tony. He helped the children of his native city during the Syrian war. At the       (开始), he planned to carry food for them. But his daughter advised him to carry her      (自己的) toys to Syrian  children.

    Adham said, "The first time, we went to a camp near a       (小溪). We had brought food. But when we started giving away the toys, kids were more excited. I       (意识到) they weren't thinking about food, they just wanted a toy." When they saw the toys,       (每个人) was smiling. He learned that toys are one of the       (最必要的) things in their life. "They don't feel we're just giving them a toy, they feel that we're backing them. That means      (无论什么) happened to them, we're here for them." said Adam. He went       (穿过) Turkey into Syria. It's a dangerous trip that he has to make by foot. However, in his       (观点), the dangers he faces on his every trip aren't enough to stop him. He has so far made the journey to Aleppo 28 times, and doesn't plan to stop       (直到) the war ends.

    The famous scientist and thinker, Charles Darwin, was born on February 12, 1809. As a boy, Charles liked to go for walks in the fields and forests. He enjoyed watching nature, and comparing what he saw with everything he had read in science books.

    At sixteen, Darwin was sent to Edinburgh University to become a doctor. But he was interested in the history of nature. Then he was sent to study in Cambridge University. He left the university in 1831. Some time later he heard that the ship Beagle was going on a trip to South America and wanted a scientist. His teacher advised him to go. So when the Beagle left England in December, 1831, Darwin was on it. The trip lasted almost five years.

    In 1842 Darwin went to live in Ken. Darwin understood that plants and animals are not always the same, and that they really change. By 1859 Darwin had finished his famous book "The Origin of Species". Darwin continued his studies in science before he died in 1882.
