Last week our school held a sports meeting. Everyone in our class felt very 1 because we 2 many matches. In the boys' relay race, Michael3 very fast and our class won the first place. Alice did well 4 the long jump and she also won. We're sorry that we did 5 in the high jump than other classes, but we're sure we could do better next time. I took part in the boys' 6 race.     My name is Lisa. Because of my job, I often went to the United States. I often felt worried during my trip because I didn't speak English well. So I decided to learn English.

    I went to Mrs Brown's English class. Before I came to the class, I always walked away when I met any Americans. But now I try to talk to Americans in English. And I like going to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants to talk with local people.

    I learn English in four ways. First , I listen to the teacher carefully and keep speaking in class. Second, I do my homework after I get home. I learn at least five words every day. Third, I listen to American radio and watch American TV programs. Finally, I surf the Internet to talk with different people in English.

     To learn English well, I think you must learn to open your mouth. For me that is the key to opening the door of learning English.

    Taiwan island, the biggest island of China, is between the South and East China Seas. Almost two-thirds of the island is covered by mountains.

    Traveling in Taiwan, you can do lots of things. In Taipei, you can taste all kinds of delicious food . Standing at the top of Taipei 101, the world's tallest building until now, you can get a view of the whole city.

    Taiwan has nice natural landscape as well. Sun and Moon Lake is a beautiful lake. On one side of the island it looks like the sun, on the other side it looks like the moon. That is why people call the lake the Sun and Moon Lake. Ali Mountain is the nearest mountain around Sun and Moon Lake. You can enjoy a nice experience with Gaoshan people. It's a wonderful place to see a very beautiful sunrise. If you enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and eating delicious fruit and fresh fish, Peng Lake must be a good place to visit. Everywehere in Taiwan, you can see mountains, valleys(山谷), and hot springs, together with fields of rice, oranges and tea.

    There are many kinds of 1. transportation now. Which one do you like best, by train, by bus or by plane? Last year, I went England to study for three months. The first station was Cambridge — a city        is a university and famous        the university. I visited some places of        in the morning and took English lessons in the afternoon. To me, the        thing to do in Cambridge is boating along the River Cam. It is really beautiful. I stayed with an English family as a guest. After class, we could take part in their daily life or take trips by ourselves. My English was poor but the family kept communicating with me in English. With their help, My spoken English improved       . Day by day, I was more       with my conversation with them. Then I got to London, the capital city of England it is also the busiest city in England,        a population of 7.5 million and a history of 2000 years. On the middle and        area, there are plenty of farms. The weather is fine all the year round and I notice the countryside is green everywhere! Time        while I was in England. Soon Christmas came, we decorated the Christmas tree, wore new clothes tasted delicious food and said “Merry Christmas” to friends or even strangers. It was really amazing! The next day, I       to return home, however, there was only one thing I didn't do: it was a pity that I didn't take the London Eye to see the whole city on the clear days!
