    The rhinoceros, often known as the rhino, is one of the world's largest animals. It is also one of the endangered animals. For many years people have hunted them for their horns.

    Today only five species of rhinos survive: the Black, the White, the Indian, the Javan and the Sumatran. They are found mainly in Africa and Southern Asia.

    Rhinos are plant-eating mammals. They eat tree bark, vines and grass. Rhinos have good hearing but poor eyesight. They sleep most of the day.

    Rhinos do not like humans. A rhinoceros can live for up to 60 years or more.

    How are you? You went to the circus(马戏)? That sounds interesting! I love to go to the circus too! I also like football. I'm the goalkeeper on the school football team! I want to be a goalkeeper when I grow up. Do you like football? What do you want to do when you grow up?

    Last time, I wrote that I lived with my parents and brother, but my grandpa moved in last week! Grandpa always tells jokes. I like living with him. Do you often see your grandparents? What are they like?

Air quality(质量) and health

    Every day, the weather reports show us the air pollution index. It is a number that tells us how dirty the air is. The index was 98 on Monday and it went up to 108 yesterday. Last weekend, the Index even climbed between 115 and 118.

    "We are breathing in bad air every minute," said Mr Victor Wong, head of Green World. Breathing in dirty air is harmful to us. The dirty air can make people sick. It can also lead to lung(肺) and heart problems.

    "To improve the air quality, we have to stop making the air dirty," Victor Wong said. The smoke from cars, factories, cigarettes and products like hair spray(喷雾) all give out dirty things, The rain and the wind carry these around and people breathe in bad air everywhere.

    The best way to make the air cleaner is to stop using things that give out dirty smoke.

    How are you?

    I am sad. My teacher says I do not have a good diet (饮食) or good habits. My teacher says I am too fat. I eat too much junk food and fried food. She says I am untidy and dirty. She says my hair and fingernails are too long, and my uniform is too dirty.
