A young boy is playing with a ball in the street. He kicks (踢) it too hard, and it breaks (打破) the window of a house and falls inside. A woman comes to the window with the ball and shouts at the young boy. So the young boy runs away, but he still wants his ball back. Later, he comes back and knocks at the door of the house. When the woman answers it, the boy says, “My father's going to come and fix (修) your window very soon." After some minutes, a man comes with tools in his hand. So the woman lets the boy take his ball away. When the man finishes fixing the window, he says to the woman," 100 yuan, Please." "But aren't you the father of that young boy?" the woman asks. "Of course not." he answers. "Aren't you his mother?"

One day a crow finds a piece of meat. She picks it up in her mouth and flies to a tall tree. She is just going to eat the meat when a fox sees her. He comes and stands under the tree and says, "How pretty you are! You must be the pettiest bird in the world." The crow is very pleased (高兴的) by these words. Then the fox speaks again, "I can see your pretty face, but I can't hear your voice. Why don't you sing a song?" This makes the crow very happy. She opens her mouth and begins to sing. As she opens her mouth, she drops (掉下) the meat. The fox picks up the meat at once and goes away with it. Kind words are not always as kind as they seem.
